The Israel Marketing Association (IMA), thus named on 1st April 2008,
was founded in 1961 as The Advertisers Association of Israel.
It is a national, non-profit organization,
dedicated to representing and serving the interests and needs of marketers in Israel.
It comprises around 200 Israeli companies from all areas of business,
who believe in the power of responsible and competitive
marketing and in the benefits of bulk derived from being associated.
Our goals are:
-
To promote and defend the interests and needs of
Israeli marketers and advertisers in Israel.
-
To represent the views and concerns of advertisers before
government, advertising agencies, the media and other industry bodies.
-
To help our members maximize the value of their marketing
communications investments through a wide array of specialized courses,
seminars, impartial advice and guidance as well as one-on-one advisory
services.
-
To provide our members forums for networking, meeting and exchanging ideas, knowledge and
insights.
Most
of our services and activities are exclusive to IMA's
members only.
IMA is funded by membership subscriptions.
Member companies pay an annual subscription which is based on their advertising
expenditure in the preceding year.
IMA is governed by a Management Committee
consisting of 12 elected member company representatives, and its day to day
running is the responsibility of IMA's CEO and the Administrative staff.
The Israel Marketing Association is a member of WFA – the
World Federation of Advertisers, which is a worldwide network of 55 National
Advertiser Associations all over the world.
